I’m a re-planted WNY native, growing up in Niagara County before moving to San Francisco followed a 10-year adventure in Northern Virginia and a happy return to Buffalo in 2016. I believe the Sabres will win the Cup someday – it’ll be worth the wait when it happens. The best unknown feature in Buffalo is the sheer number of concert venues and offerings, especially the options for free shows in the summer that many of us might take for granted. If you ask me about Canadian music or the inner workings of how ticket sales are impossible and rigged, get comfortable because those are long conversations I will gleefully have in great detail. In addition to writing, I enjoy volunteering at the SPCA’s Wildlife Department and, in another homegrown special, the Music is Art Festival, the single best day of the year.
