The Buffalo Bills are just about an hour away from their week 5 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Highmark Stadium.

The game marks another home game affair against the Steelers, as last year both teams played in the 2021 regular season opener, which was won by Pittsburgh. In the end, that game proved pivotal, as the Bills could've used an extra win in the AFC standings last season.

Today, both teams are dealing with significant injuries, especially the Bills.

Even though the Bills are 14-point favorites, they will be down a number of key players.

Micah Hyde and Tommy Doyle are out for the season. Hyde with a neck injury and Doyle with a torn ACL, while head coach Sean McDermott ruled out Jordan Poyer, Dawson Knox, Christian Benford, Jake Kumerow and Jamison Crowder on Friday. Crowder was placed on IR on Saturday.

The Bills inactives were just released as we approach kickoff.

Both Isaiah McKenzie and Tremaine Edmunds are inactive today, which means the Bills will be shorthanded significantly again.

For the Steelers, they will be without star edge rusher T.J. Watt, who is recovering from both a torn pectoral muscle and an arthroscopic knee procedure that will sideline him an additional week or two.

They will also be without starting safety Terrell Edmunds, who has a concussion, so the Bills offense, despite the injuries at receiver, should be able to capitalize.

The Bills will count on rookies today, including Khalil Shakir and James Cook, as well as rookie linebacker Terrel Bernard.

The Bills are looking to improve to 4-1 before their week 6 matchup against their arch rival Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium next Sunday.
