The Buffalo Bills will face their biggest challenge this Sunday, when they play the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.

Both the Bills and Chiefs are 4-1, which is good for a tie atop the AFC standings. Whoever wins on Sunday will have the inside track on the number one seed in the AFC when the season concludes, with Buffalo having a 68 percent chance to win the AFC with a victory.

The Bills have been dealing with a host of key injuries since week 2 against the Tennessee Titans, which has included many defensive and offensive starters.

There's great news, however, as Friday's injury update from Bills head coach Sean McDermott was much more optimistic regarding the injury report.

McDermott only ruled out wide receiver Jake Kumerow for Sunday's game in Kansas City, which means that safety Jordan Poyer, linebacker Tremaine Edmunds and tight end Dawson Knox all have a decent chance to return to the lineup on Sunday.

McDermott told WGR radio in Buffalo that everyone is trending in a positive direction.

The Bills only have one player listed as questionable, which is defensive tackle Jordan Phillips.

Wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie was cleared from concussion protocol on Wednesday, so he will play as well.

There's no way to actually no this, but it feels as if the Bills were playing it safe with their starters against the Steelers, knowing they had this test against the Chiefs in week 6.

Having those players I mentioned above, back for this game is critical for the number one seed in the AFC down the road. The Bills chances to host the entire AFC playoffs goes up substantially with a victory at Arrowhead Stadium in two days.

The Bills should be able to take advantage of the Chiefs secondary, while the Bills defense won't have to worry about Tyreek Hill (he plays in Miami now) and will likely have Matt Milano and/or Taron Johnson shadow tight end Travis Kelce.
