Eight Buffalo Bills Players Missing Practice Due to an Illness

The Buffalo Bills are having a rare Sunday afternoon practice. That's because the team will play at the New England Patriots this Thursday night for the second straight Thursday game, after playing the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving; the same for New England, who played at the Minnesota Vikings on Turkey Day.

The Bills are 8-3 and a half-game behind the Kansas City Chiefs for the number one seed in the AFC, but despite that, there is pessimism with Bills Mafia because of the insane amount of injuries the Bills have been dealing with.

Von Miller is out this Thursday and could be longer with a later meniscus tear. The team will wait for the inflammation to go down according to numerous reports, and then see if Miller can play through or if he will need surgery, which will likely end his season.

Tremaine Edmunds, Greg Rousseau and A.J. Epenesa missed Thursday's game due to injury.

Dion Dawkins also left Thursday's game with an injury and will not practice today, along with Miller and Epenesa.

Head coach Sean McDermott also announced that eight players won't practice today, due to an illness.

It's unclear if this is the same illness that caused a few Bills players to miss practice 10 days ago, but it's reason to think it is.

The Bills will be severely short-handed for practice today but hopefully all are okay to play this Thursday in New England.

The Bills will now play three consecutive games against AFC East opponents; they need to win these games to secure first place in the division.
