Four Buffalo Bills Already On Injury Lists Before Training Camp
Sometimes, the best ability in sports is availability. If you want to see playing time, you have to be healthy, and some players are already missing time.
The Buffalo Bills are taking the field once again for training camp at St. John Fisher today, and unfortunately, they've already added some players to their injury list.
Four players are already sitting out for the first day of camp
This morning, head coach Shawn McDermott held a press conference where he named four players who are already sitting out of practice. Tight end Dawson Knox, center Cedric Van Pran Granger, right tackle Spencer Brown, and wide receiver Laviska Shenault will all be on the sidelines today. Dawson Knox is struggling with a hamstring injury. Cedric Van Pran Granger is listed with a calf injury. Spencer Brown has had issues with his back in the past and that's what has him on the list, and Shenault has a lower leg strain.
Many of these could be simple early-season precautions to make sure that they don't irritate a preexisting injury.

It's not all bad news
There was good news, though. There are some players that might have been expected to miss some time who look like they're going to be practicing right away. That list includes defensive end Joey Bosa, who had a soft tissue injury during OTAs, and running back James Cook, who many assumed would be a hold out at camp as he is still looking for a new contract with the Bills.
Practice began at 9:45am this morning and will continue throughout the week. Tickets to get in were necessary and have already been distributed.
