10 Most Common Flight Destinations Out Of The Buffalo Airport

Holiday weekends at the Buffalo airport tend to be much busier than others. The question is, where are all of those people going?

Whether they're headed on vacation or sent on a business trip, it seems as though Western New Yorkers have a tendency to head off to similar destinations.

The website Stacker analyzed data from the Bureau of Transportation Statistics from October 2022 to September 2023, and used it to figure out the most common destinations of domestic flights flying out of Buffalo Niagara International.

They discovered that thousands of travelers were headed to the same locations, and some particular airlines flew people there more than others.

And it’s not just locals who are using the Buffalo airport to get to their destinations. When I lived in Rochester, myself and lots of others often made the hour drive to Buffalo to fly out of Buffalo Niagara. For one thing, it’s a much larger airport than Rochester’s, so there is a lot more availability when it comes to certain flights and destinations (not to mention, the flights were usually less expensive than flying out of Rochester, because there were so many of them).
