The calendar says June, which means that we are unofficially into summertime in Western New York.

For all the flack that Buffalo gets between November and April, nothing beats this region in summertime. June through September in Western New York is undefeated. It's warm and usually sunny. This area doesn't get as much rain as other spots in the northeast and because of Lake Erie so close, we don't get the crazy heat that other cities do.

Buffalo loves dining out at outdoor patios this time of year; enjoying great times and weather with friends and family. One of the newest spots in Western New York just opened in the last couple of months and it's in one of the most prime locations in Orchard Park or Hamburg.

New Restaurant and Taproom in Hamburg.

If you drive down Southwestern Blvd. towards the McKinley Pkwy. intersection (near Big Tree Road), then you probably have seen Hamburg Taproom - Just Pizza & Wing Co.

It's in the old Jack Devine and Radigan's location, across from Big Tree Road and near McKinley Pkwy. The new business is a huge taproom with outdoor patio seating and Just Pizza food; such as pizza, wings, subs and appetizers.

This location is great for any business, since it gets so busy at the Big Tree and McKinley intersections, especially during drive time.

As if Hamburg and Orchard Park needed more amazing bars and restaurants. There are so many great places for food and drinks in both towns, such as JP Fitzgerald's, Rush Creek Alehouse, Buffalo Sports Garden, Towne House, Hoak's, etc.

Add another to the list. Have you driven by it yet?
