Are you ready for hot weather to return to New York next week? The forecast is calling for a change.

The unofficial start to summer is typically Memorial Day and it looks as of the weather is about to cooperate with that. As we say goodbye to the month of May, some portions of New York State are going to see the mercury rise to the mid to upper 80's!

Is 90 degrees possible? It really depends on where you are in New York. In the Buffalo area, we have Lake Erie just to our west and the water temperatures are still around 50 degrees. The winds off the lake tend to help keep the Buffalo areas cooler in the early summer.

Areas around Central New York will see much warmer temperatures as we approach the start of June! Binghamton, New York is expected to see 90 degrees by Thursday.
