Is Jordan Phillips Coming Back To The Buffalo Bills?
The Buffalo Bills are in need of some help up front on their defensive line, and it looks as though they might be bringing back another former player...again.
The Buffalo Bills have been getting gashed in the run game this year. While the defense has been pretty good as a whole, after losing players like DeWayne Carter and Dawuane Smoot, they're certainly in need of a run-stopper.
It appears as if they may have found one in a former player.
Aside from releasing safety Mike Edwards, the Buffalo Bills didn't make any moves to acquire any players today that we know of. However, a post on Instagram looks as though there might be an announcement coming.
The post is from former Bills defensive lineman Jordan Phillips. Last year he was on a one-year contract with the Bills hoping to run it back with them then. Unfortunately, they weren't able to get it done. Phillips went to the Giants in free agency and then was acquired by the Dallas Cowboys through a trade.
Now we wait to see if the Bills make an announcement. They did have an extra roster spot available after the release of Mike Edwards and placing Smoot on Injured Reserve.
Phillips has always spoken very highly of the Buffalo Bills and their fans and has always seemed like he loved playing here. This would be a depth pickup for the Bills and a good one at that.
