Even though the Buffalo Sabres are sitting out the playoffs, the organization is busy fulfilling promises they’ve made to their fans.

For 13 straight years, the team has missed the postseason cut. But in recent weeks, serious moves have been made. They fired their head coach of three years, Don Granato, and replaced him with former Sabres leader Lindy Ruff. Back in February, the team announced some major renovations were coming to KeyBank Center, and that they’d be completed before next season. Additionally, the Sabres also revealed that they will put a new roof atop the arena ahead of the 2024-25 season.

I have put a great deal of thought and research into the fan experience over the last year and feel it is time to begin making gradual upgrades to our arena that will play a key role in enhancing game day for our fans.” Terry Pegula; owner of the Buffalo Sabres
