There’s been a serious debate over if it’s morally acceptable to order delivery during a snowstorm. If you do, you should be courteous, tip heavily, and expect your food to arrive much longer than usual.

Unfortunately for hungry Buffalo residents, one popular delivery app is off the table during this Western New York winter weather bomb.

The snow has already started to fall (okay, let’s be honest - dump) throughout Buffalo and its surrounding suburbs, and hopefully, area residents are cooped up at home, safe and sound. It’s understandable if you had a long and busy week at work and you didn’t get a chance to properly stock up on food and supplies before the snow started falling. But unfortunately, if you were counting on your trust food delivery apps to be available this weekend, one of them is down for the count.

DoorDash Suspending Operations

The popular delivery app DoorDash has officially suspended its operations in several areas around Western New York until Sunday afternoon.

The delivery app, known for delivering popular restaurant meals from Mighty Taco to Lloyd’s Taco Factory, has suspended operations in the areas of Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Lockport, Cheektowaga, and Grand Island from 10 pm Thursday night through Sunday afternoon at 1 pm.

We will update you as soon as we hear more from other Western New York food apps and delivery services, and please continue to stay safe, Western New York!
