Sunday morning a fire broke out at Mulligan's Brick Bar in Buffalo.  Thousands are devastated, but officials ask people not to do this at the site.

It has been a long week for people who loved Mulligan's Brick Bar.  First they find out that there was a fire there on Sunday morning.  Then on Monday you find out that they're going to demolish it right away.  Then there's a temporary pause on the demolition for a day only to find out that they were going through with it on Wednesday.

People are rightfully emotional about it.  However, officials are asking people not to come to the site or remove anything from the property.

Although the building has been knocked down, there is still a lot of rubble remaining in the area.  While it can be tempting to come and grab a "souvenir" from the place that you loved they're hoping that people will respect the owner of the property and refrain from doing so.

Just a few months ago Buffalo lost another long-standing bar called "The Old Pink" and shortly after the demolition, former patrons scoured the area to find anything that they could keep as a memento of their favorite bar.

However, officials are asking people not to do that with Mulligans.  Not only for their own safety, but out of respect of the owner of the bar who hopes to preserve some of the items.  According to WIVB, "artifacts are currently being assessed to preserve for the history museum".  They expect that the rest of the cleanup will be done by next week.

Investigators did not find an official cause of the fire that took down Mulligan's Brick Bar on Sunday.  It was officially listed as "undetermined" and that the cause was accidental.
