Massive Tractor Parade In Western New York [WATCH]

The summer is almost here and that means farmers and farm families across New York State will be very busy. From mowing and baling hay to tilling and planting, farms are buzzing with activity! For some students it also means it is time for Take Your Tractor To School Day!

I can't begin to express my gratitude for the farming families here in Western New York. If there is anything that we have learned from the COVID-19 pandemic, it is that we need to support our LOCAL growers and producers more than ever. When the national supply shortages were happening within the pandemic, local farms were stepping in to make sure the demand was met. As prices seem to rise, rarely (if ever) did you see farmers getting a raise in pay for their work/produce.

For most farm families in New York, their work is a tradition handed down through many generations and it seems as though that those traditions are being passed down to the next generation of farmers. Beyond the work, however, there are some other traditions that are still in place and allow the farm kids to have a little fun!

For the students and staff at Pioneer High School, this was a day that they won't soon forget! Check out some of the bigger tractors that lead the parade. They are massive!!
