Please Don’t Make This Mistake at Wegmans in Buffalo This Week
We are officially through with the warm weather, as we head into cold and dreary days for the foreseeable future. Yes, we will get some sunny days in there but snow and cold will be the story for the next several months.
For the next five weeks, we crave the cold and snow, as the holiday season will kick off this Thursday with Thanksgiving.
With Thanksgiving arriving on Thursday, that means that the next 48 hours will be packed at local Wegmans locations around Buffalo and Western New York.
If you have ever gone to a Wegmans or a Tops this week, you know how stressful it can be. There's no parking spots left, every lane is full and there are long lines at the self-checkout. Most everyone is getting the same few things too: turkey, stuffing bread, potatoes, butter, cranberries, green beans, corn, rolls, pumpkin pie, etc.
When it comes to shopping before a major holiday like Thanksgiving, everyone has the same idea and it's important if you can avoid this the next two days...do not shop the afternoon or early evening on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Yes, it's more convenient if you get the Thanksgiving shopping done on the way back from work, but everyone will have the same exact idea. Plus, you have a much better chance of missing out of an item you want/need in the afternoon and evening.
If you can, try and shop in the early morning on Tuesday or Wednesday: between 6 and 9 am. You'll have the benefit of fully stocked shelves and it won't be anywhere near as crowded as later in the day. I've been doing this for the last few years and it makes all the difference in the world.
Also, it should go without saying, please be kind and patient with the employees for the next few days.
