The next few days in Buffalo and Western New York will be interesting in the weather department, as the National Weather Services have announced multiple Wineter Storm Watches for the region. Several feet of snow is expected to fall on the area over the next few days, and it's beyond time to make sure we're prepared to ride out a storm if and when it hits.

If there is anything we learned from the last few winter seasons, it is that we can end up stuck in the house for a few days if the weather is as bad as it is predicted.

Are You Prepared For Winter?

You can take several steps right now to ensure you're ready to ride out the weather. To make sure you don't get caught unprepared, there are several things you should consider doing now to ensure you can survive for the next several days should you lose the ability to travel and get out to stores.

Of course, if you're anything like me, you're just starting to get ready for the snow; it's not too late, but you must act fast. So before you run out to the local grocery store and clear the shelves of all the bottled water and toilet paper, let's take a few minutes to make a plan.

But don't take too long, especially since this is a holiday weekend; time is running out before we have a few feet of snow on our front lawns and on our roads.
