Police in Chautauqua County are looking for these 10 people. Some of the individuals below have been on the Sheriff's Most Wanted list for quite some time. When it comes to crime in Chautauqua County, it is not as bad as in some other areas of Western New York. Chautauqua County is comprised of two cities, Jamestown and Dunkirk. It also has 27 towns and 15 villages within its 1,065 square miles. The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office patrols the entire area.

Recently, a Dunkirk man was sentenced to a lengthy prison term on a weapons conviction. Nathaniel Hollins, a 34-year-old man, will spend 15 years in state prison for criminal possession of a weapon, according to the Post Journal. Judge David W. Foley gave him the maximum sentence allowed. He will also be subject to five years of post-release supervision. Hollins has a history of gun violence.
In July 2019 he was arrested in connection to a shooting in Jamestown. He shot and hit a vehicle, but no injuries were reported. Hollins was sentenced to 1.5 to three years in prison. Prior to that, in October 2013 he was arrested after shooting a person in the leg. On November 8, 2023, Hollins was found in possession of a loaded handgun.
