Clara Gomez, who was better known as Claire in the streets of Buffalo, was killed in a tragic car crash on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. Lots of people have been talking about the life and legacy of Claire in Buffalo, and some of those folks are putting their money where their mouth is and are supporting her funeral expenses.

Claire Was Killed In A Car Crash

In the late evening hours on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, a car jumped the curb at Main Street and East Utica Ave in Buffalo and crashed in to the Utica Metrorail Station. Claire, who was standing outside of the subway station in Buffalo, was hit by the car and subsequently killed.

The car was heavily damaged in the crash, along with an exterior wall of the train station.

Claire was declared dead on the scene by emergency medical professionals when the arrived on the scene.

The Alleged Killer Has Been Arrested

According to John Flynn, who is the Erie County District Attorney, Buffalo Police have arrested a man in connection with the crash that took the life of Claire.

22-year-old Marlon D. Servance, Jr. from Buffalo was taken into custody and charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree and one count of Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree. He appeared before Buffalo City Court Judge Diane Wray for an arraignment hearing. He's do back in court at a future date.

Money Is Being Raised To Help Cover Claires Funeral Expenses

Since it was announced that Claire passed, there has been an outpouring of comments related to her life and death. To help with funeral expenses, members of Claire's family have started a Go Fund Me, seeking public financial support.

Multiple people have donated so far, including Westside Gunn from Griselda. He's donated more than $10,000 towards the campaign.
