It looks like we could be in for another summer of hazy and smoky conditions across New York State.

Most of us will want to be outside when the warmer summer weather hits New York, but we could be forced inside due to possible air quality issues across the state.

Once again we could get smoke and haze from wildfires in Canada this summer. Last year, the air quality got really bad in some parts of the state including down in New York City.

This summer it could be more of the same. Wildfires are raging once again in Canada and parts of the Midwest are already dealing with low air quality and smokey conditions.


Right now with the jet stream the smoke and haze from the wildfires are staying North of us, but that could change as the jet stream starts to drop as we get into the hot summer months.
