The first winter weather advisory of the 2025-26 winter season has been issued for Western New York. Parts of the 716 are under the advisory until 7 am on Monday morning.
Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Western New York
The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a winter weather advisory for parts of Western New York for Sunday night through Monday Morning.
The advisory is in place for Niagara, Orleans, and Chautauqua counties. The advisory is in place for Niagara and Orleans counties starting ASAP, and it will last until 7 am on Monday morning. Rain is expected to change over to snow, and there could be between 3 to 5 inches of snow before the advisory expires.
The advisory for Chautauqua County begins at 7 pm on Sunday night and will last until 1 pm on Monday afternoon. There could be between 4 and 7 inches of snow throughout the county, with the greatest snowfall amounts around the Chautauqua Ridge.
