The Buffalo Sabres shut out the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday in what was rookie Colton Ellis ' first-ever career shutout. Ellis stopped 37 shots to get the win and the shutout.

Ellis has played in 15 games so far this season, winning 8 games with a goals against average of 2.91. Ellis was drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the 2019 NHL draft. We were waived by the team before the start of this season and claimed by the Sabres, where he has served as the backup to UPL and Alex Lyon.
