James Cook Has 3 Reasons Why He Wants to Stay in Buffalo
The Bills are off and running at Training Camp, which takes place at St. John Fisher University in Rochester, NY. They have the added twist of Hard Knocks filming them this year, though many on the team have said they have nothing to hide and, in some ways, are enjoying the experience. However, many are wondering what the truth is behind running back James Cook and his contract situation.
Cook is in the final year of his rookie deal and wants a payday. There were rumblings of a holdout, but Cook showed up to training camp and is a full participant. He's rushed for over 1,000 yards for 2 years in a row, but last year exploded for 16 touchdowns on the ground and 2 more in the air. Whiukle he may not get the msot yard, Cook showed thta he was a gamebreaker all season long.
Time will tell if he gets the extension he wants in Buffalo or elsewhere. However, Cook does have reasons to want to stay in Buffalo. He spoke with the media today and when asked about why he would want to stay in Buffalo, he said this:
Quarterback, fans, and a great organization were the reasons he listed for wanting to stay in Buffalo. Who can blame him? Leaving does not mean you get a great quarterback making your life easier, let alone a better fan base: Bills Mafia tops the league in the category.
