The Buffalo Bills open training camp at St. John Fisher University in Rochester on July 23.  Many are excited to see Josh Allen, his new weapons, and a reloaded defense, especially on the defensive line. But will they be without a key draft pick this trainign camp?

Buffalo Bills Add Several to Their Defensive Line

After struggling on defense last season, the Bills wanted to sure up their front four. They signed free agent Joey Bosa, a masterful sack artist when healthy, who they hope can be a game changer. Bosa absolutely can be this, if he stays on the field. They brought in massive defensive end Michael Hoecht, who can serve as a jack of all trades in the run and pass games, while being able to move inside or out. They will be with him for the start of the season, as he was suspended for violating the league's substance policies. Hoecht has been adamant that it was due to a misunderstanding and vows to be ready to go when his suspension is up. They signed defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi, who is a force in the middle but was also suspended for six games for violating the league's substance policies.

The Bills were also aggressive in the draft, picking three defensive linemen, all of whom likely will make the roster. DT T.J. Sanders in the second round (who is yet to sign his rookie deal), EDGE Landon Jackson in the third, and DT Deone Walker in the fourth round. However, one of these draft picks will miss time due to injury.

Will This Buffalo Bills Draft Pick Miss Training Camp With an Injury?

The Buffalo Bills announced today that EDGE Landon Jackson has been placed on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list. The injury has not been confirmed, but there is good news one week out of training camp, as reported by Matt Parino.

The Bills will need all the help they can get on the defensive front, especially with their two suspensions. Here's hoping Jackson is ready to.
