Look, anytime the Bills lose, it causes some to panic. There are people who are mad when the Bills' playoff position is locked in and are playing for nothing in the final week of a season, and lose. There are people who are mad when they win by 30 because of one play. Sensibility is often not a football fan's forte.

But it might be time to panic. Because you, Bills Mafia, are probably right about your team.

See, there's been a sense that there is something wrong with this team dating back to the offseason. People were worried they didn't have enough weapons. They were concerned that the defense was relying on too many unreliable players. Many people did not buy the everyone eats philosophy.

Why Bills Fans Knew This Team Might Not Work

Why? Because the team failed, again, against Kansas City. Because everyone didn't eat, they traded for Amari Cooper when they didn't have enough at receiver. Because Matt Milano can't stay on the field. because Tre White is a great story, but we all knew he lost a step. Because we knew the safeties weren't quite right and that Jordan Poyer was let go by the Dolphins for a reason. Because Dalton Kincaid can't stay on the field, either. Because we've seen this story before and we know how it ends, and it doesn't end in the Super Bowl. They essentially ran it back, and we all know that wasn't good enough.

Sure, they are 7-3. That's a good record, but they easily could be 6-4 if not for the miracle against Baltimore: a game they deserved to lose, but apparently, fans were wrong to leave, according to Josh Allen. Josh, who doesn't skirt blame. Where's the MVP? Too busy seeing that there's more to life than football? There are 330 million reasons why that's not acceptable.

They lost to the 2-7 Dolphins. A lost team that just traded away some of its best assets to begin a rebuild. That's 2 division losses. They will be lucky to catch the Patriots.  There's a good chance they lose this week against Tampa, who may have lost to the Patriots, but are no joke. Looking past that, they have a short week where they play at Houston for Thursday Night Football: a place they never play well in. Then they go to Pittsburgh, which has found ways to win. They EASILY could be 7-6 going into Cincinnati.

So yeah, it's time to panic. They look bad. If they don't get things figured out and get consistent in a hurry, they could be in serious trouble.

In The Bills' Defence

NOW IN THEIR DEFENSE. Because it's only fair to point out: They are HURT. Really hurt. They need Josh Palmer. They need Dalton Kincaid. Both are now hurt. They are down to a rookie and reserves at Corner. They have three defensive ends, and one has his hand in a club (Joey Bosa).

They also expected more from Keon Coleman, but he just doesn't appear to be it. It's a potential miss, but it makes sense on paper why the Bills put their trust in him. What doesn't make sense is the lack of a trade, but again, in their defense, maybe teams just would not trade with them. Seems unlikely, but it's possible.

That doesn't change the panic factor, though. The injuries have piled up, and what's to say that gets better over the next seven games? You can't predict injuries, but the trend is not in favor of a positive turnaround.

All we can do is hope, Bills Mafia, as per usual. It just doesn't look very positive to me, and I know many of you would agree. I hope I am 100% wrong. There's nothing I'd like more.
