Buffalo Bills Lose Big In Miami, Dolphins Win 30-13
What is turning into a pretty interesting NFL season brings us an NFL Week Ten matchup between two of the biggest rivals in professional football. The surging Buffalo Bills travel to South Florida to take on the Miami Dolphins for the 125th time.
Since 1966, these two teams have had some hard-fought battles since actor Danny Thomas and lawyer Joseph Robbie were awarded a franchise in the upstart American Football League (AFL).
The team's second meeting of the 2025/26 NFL season got off to a slow start offensively for both teams as Cole Bishop snagged his second career interception in the first quarter after he grabbed a deep Tua Tagovailoa pass. The Bills' ensuing drive didn't last long as the team went 3-and-out quickly, which led to the Dolphins driving the ball 92 yards down the field for a touchdown.
The first half was very good for the Dolphins as Tagovailoa was able to toss a second touchdown pass to Jaylen Waddle, and Miami kicker Riley Patterson was able to get a kick through the uprights for a field goal. Those scores gave the Dolphins a 16-0 lead going into the mid-game break.
After what was likely a stern talking to during halftime from coach McDermott, the Bills received the second-half kickoff with hopes of putting a drive together. Both Josh Allen and James Cook put work in to move the ball down the field.
However, the Bills' drive came to an abrupt end as Josh Allen threw an interception to Miami's Ifeatu Melifonwu, who was in the end zone.
As the game moved into the fourth quarter, things were starting to look down for the Bills, but that didn't last long as Josh Allen dropped a beautiful pass to Keon Coleman, who was able to take it into the end zone for a 35-yard touchdown reception.
Then Mad Max Hairston grabbed his second career interception, which gave the Bills the ball right back. With the ball back, Josh Allen started to lead the team forward towards another score until he lost the second fumble of the season.
That fumble gave the Dolphins some additional energy as De’Von Achane ripped another big run into the end zone to give Miami a 23-6 lead.
The Bills were able to put together a fourth-quarter scoring drive, which culminated with a big touchdown catch for Jackson Hawes. Still, the hope for Buffalo making a comeback ended quickly as Achane was able to make another big scoring run on the ensuing possession. That score, which turned out to be the game winner for Miami, put the Dolphins ahead 30-13.
For the Bills, the big issues were turnovers and not being able to sustain drives. The Bills now head back home to Buffalo to host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in NFL Week Eleven.
