Western New Yorkers Will Soon Have Another Water Park To Play At
The last few days in the Buffalo area have given us some pretty nice weather, which many hope is a sneak preview of the kind of weather we can expect this summer as folks all over the 716 are finally ready to shed our winter coats and snowbrushes for beach towels and rooftops.
As the weather conditions continue to improve, many of the staple activities we love in summer are getting ready to open their doors for the season. As outdoor restaurants begin to put their patio furniture out and other warm-weather businesses prepare for the onslaught of Buffalonians, one long-awaited Northtown water park is getting ready to open its doors and turn on its waterslides for the first time.
Western New Yorkers Will Soon Have Another Water Park To Play At
Located on Brompton Road, between Parker Boulevard and Colvin Boulevard, the Paddock Chevrolet Spray Park in the Town of Tonawanda is just about set to welcome its first visitors after a few delays and many people who were waiting to get a few splashes in.
The more than 5,000 square foot park will have more than 30 water features, including a massive water bucket that can dump more than 50 gallons of water on people. Kids and adults alike are in for some fun times this summer after more than $4 million has been invested to bring this from idea to reality.
WKBW-TV spoke with several town officials who expressed their excitement that this project is finally nearing completion.
Town officials hope the park can officially open on Thursday, May 22, 2025, but this will depend on the weather this spring.
Once the park is open for business, people all over Western New York can enjoy it. There is a fee to enter: Town of Tonawanda Residents will pay $5, while non-town residents will pay $7.
