Today is Emily Bula's 105th birthday. It's an incredible accomplishment. However, one thing she had never accomplished in her century-plus time on planet Earth has been riding the famous Maid of the Mist in Niagara Falls.

The Boat ride has been going on since 1846, one way or another. It brings visitors up close and personal to Niagara Falls itself. Getting so close to the falls makes it misty from all the water vapor in the air, thus its name. Tickets for adults are $30.25. Children 6-12 years old are $19.75, while children five and under are free with a paid adult ticket (of course). The Maid of the Mist operates from May 1 to November 2 and closes for the winter, though their observation deck remains open year-round.
