Three Jobs No One Wants To Do Buffalo
While concerns about tariffs and duties have people all over the nation feeling extremely uneasy, those fears have not yet translated to issues with the job market in Buffalo and Western New York. Even though we have had a tough financial situation lately with high inflation and even higher taxes in the Empire State, the unemployment rate and overall employment market have been pretty good.
According to data available from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Buffalo region is actually doing pretty well.
With an unemployment rate hovering around 4%, things are as good as it's been in many years. However, even with this low unemployment rate, there are some jobs that companies are having trouble filling, and then other jobs that no one wants to do no matter how much the pay is.
Over the coming years, the number of technology and IT jobs, along with positions available in healthcare and skilled trades like plumbers and electricians, is expected to increase significantly. With all of the educational options available, including places like the Northland Workforce Training Center, employers should have no problem filling these jobs in the near future.
