A Dynasty Has Been Born In Banditland

The people of Buffalo and Western New York are in love with many things. Most revolve around food, drinking, and sports. If you needed an example of this fact, you didn't need to look any further than the KeyBank Center on the afternoon of Saturday, May 24, 2025.

The defending 6-time National Lacrosse League Champion Buffalo Bandits were hosting the Saskatchewan Rush in a deciding NLL Finals Game Three in downtown Buffalo. The winner of this game would take home the National Lacrosse League Cup and the adoration of lacrosse fans far and wide.

After a hard-fought game that saw the Rush and Bandits fight it out for 60 minutes, the game ended in a victory for the Buffalo Bandits. This gave them their seventh NLL Title since 1992 and solidified something that people across Buffalo have known for years.

A Dynasty Has Been Born In Banditland

Since 1992, the Buffalo Bandits have been one of the top teams in professional box lacrosse. This NLL Finals win, their seventh and third straight, solidified their standing at the top of the league.

When you're the back-to-back-to-back champion, you have landed in a category that only a select few teams have ever achieved. In fact, in the National Lacrosse League, it has only happened one other time when the Rochester Knighthawks achieved this feat in 2012, 2013, and 2014.

Now the team, which was lead by NLL Finals MVP Ian Mckay, will party hard in downtown Buffalo, as will the more than, 19,000 fans who were in attendance at the KeyBank Center.

The Bandits played an amazing game in their 15-6 victory of the Rush. My son and I were lucky to be in attendance at the KeyBank Center to watch the whole thing and the arena was electric the entire game.

Way to go, Buffalo Bandits.
