We Wish We Could Give Out This Candy On Halloween In Western New York
Halloween is fast approaching and there is one candy that everyone in Western New York wishes we could give out to all the trick-or-treaters.
According to a new study released by candystore.com, Resse Peanutbutter cups are the favorite candy for people to hand out on Halloween.
The rest of the top 5 are Skittles in second place and M&Ms taking third place. Starburst came in 4th most popular while Hot Tamales rounded out the top five.
The remaining most popular are Sour Patch Kids, Hershey’s Kisses, Snickers, Tootsie Pops, and Candy Corn.
All those candies will be flowing into the trick-or-treat bags all over Western New York but there is one candy that won't make any bags. It is the one candy that most Western New York kids would love to see in their bags when they spill them on the floor to start making trades with their friends and siblings.
That one candy is one that is a true Western New York candy. Sponge Candy!
Yes...what kid in Western New York wouldn't love to find some milk chocolate or orange chocolate sponge candy in their bags.
The only problem is that you can't just hand out single cubes of sponge candy and all the ones that I see for sale come in large boxes. How come no local companies make single packs of sponge candy? Can we make this happen, even if it is just during the month of October?
