Customs and Border Protection In Buffalo Issues Stern Warning To Law Breakers
The last few days have seen all sorts of uprisings and strife in different cities around the country related to increased operations by officers from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Since the start of the new year, ICE has been hard at work rounding up people who are accused of being in the nation illegally and either moving them into detention facilities or deporting them to other countries. We’ve seen this happening around the country, and it's also happening right here in the Western New York area.
Things have been devolving to near anarchy in some parts of the country, and you only need to look at what’s been happening in Los Angeles over the last few days for an example of that.

Riots have gripped parts of Los Angeles County in California as people who are protesting against actions taken by President Trump and the current federal administration. Protestors have clashed against local police, county sheriffs, and federal officials from ICE and other agencies.
Things have taken such a turn that President Trump has federalized the California National Guard and ordered more than 2,000 troops into Los Angeles, along with putting at least 700 Marines on standby. These actions have caused many Americans to pick sides in this debate and the associated protests.
One group believes that the federal government is overstepping the power granted to it by the Constitution, and the protests are justified. In contrast, others believe that the federal government is justified in its actions and seeks to restore law and order, regardless of the long-term consequences.
To reinforce the latter, federal officials have been issuing statements nationwide, including here in Buffalo.
Officials from the Buffalo Field office of Customs and Border Protection have issued a stern warning to the people of Western New York: Interfere with their operations, and they will take you down.
Is this the stance and tone that we want the people whom we pay to protect us to have?
It seems you should be cautious if you decide to protest in Western New York.
