On Tuesday, October 25, Buffalo Police shared the names of the deceased:

Marcus Webster, age 19, Swazine Swindle, age 17, Kevin Payne, age 16, and Ahjanae Harper, age 14, were all killed in the crash.

The two injured passengers include a 14-year-old girl, who is being treated at Erie County Medical Center, and the 16-year-old driver, who was treated and released. Police believe that speed and the occupants not wearing seatbelts contributed to the severity of the crash. The vehicle, a Kia, had been reported stolen in Buffalo. Investigators are looking into whether the incident had anything to do with the "Kia Challenge" from TikTok.
