School District Employee Arrested In City Hall [VIDEO]
It has been a tough few months for those who lead and work in our government agencies.
Not only has the country undergone a significant shift in direction since the last Presidential election, which is affecting the cost of everything from eggs to clothing, but our local government has also been dealing with several issues. Buffalo is on the verge of a major shift in its governance with the upcoming mayoral election, along with an election for the school board, and the city's schools searching for a new superintendent.
You couple that with a massive budget deficit that will have ripples for city residents for years to come, and you can see that things will be a lot different for people in the Queen City.
One of the potential scandals that Buffalo is dealing with stems from a series of accusations that a Buffalo Police Department detective laid against the Buffalo Public Schools.

BPD Detective Richard Hy went on a Texas-based podcast and accused the BPS of covering up various attempted abductions and cases of sexual abuse. Officials from the BPS have issued a strong rebuke of these claims and say they will be vindicated after city officials investigate.
As more information becomes available about these allegations, a group of independent journalists visited Buffalo City Hall on Monday, April 28, 2025, to ask questions and gather more information about the ongoing situation. While walking through City Hall, it seems that one city government employee didn't appreciate the questions the journalists were asking and knocked the phone and camera out of one of their hands.
When officers from the Buffalo Police Department arrived at City Hall, audio that the video picked up appears to show the same man yelling and screaming at officers when they were trying to mediate the situation.
In the end, a Buffalo Schools employee ended up in handcuffs. The video is quite telling, and you can watch it below on YouTube.
