Buffalo’s Best Roast Beef On List Of Restaurants That Start With ‘E’
We're continuing our "Alphabet Challenge" today with restaurants that start with the letter 'E' and one of Buffalo's best places for beef on weck is there.
What is the "Alphabet Challenge?"
The alphabet challenge is something we started doing with another couple to help us pick a restaurant to try the next time we went out. If you've ever sat with someone and thought that you'd like to go out to eat dinner with them but didn't know where to go, this will help. You simply start with a restaurant that begins with 'A' and make your way through the alphabet one restaurant at a time. The challenge is to see if you can make it through the entire alphabet. Then in my case, start all over again!

I get these suggestions from you on Facebook, and this week, we had everything from some of the best barbeque at the East Eden Tavern, to Mexican food at El Canelo, simply breakfast and lunch at Eggsquisite Eats, fine dining and more. But one of the most suggested restaurants is known for its beef on weck.
Eckl's
This was the one that we chose for our 'E' when we had just started the alphabet challenge and we were all happy that we did. Eckl's is a fine-dining restaurant in Larkinville. I had almost demolished my beef on weck before I remembered to take a picture of it!
It was worth the hype. If you've never been to Eckl's, this one is one you're going to want to try.
East Eden Tavern
Another popular choice was the East Eden Tavern in Eden. They've got the best barbeque in Western New York and one of their most talked about menu items is Oscar's Big Lid. It features a full rack of baby back ribs, a half pound each of pulled pork, shredded chicken, and sliced beef brisket. Plus french fries, cole slaw, beans, loaded potato salad, and house-made mac & cheese. You're not going to get through this one alone, so bring a friend! And that's just one of the items on their menu.
