Parts of New York will see some light lake-effect snow today but it looks like a massive snowstorm is headed into the state later this week.

Today parts of New York, including Western New York will have some light lake effect snow to deal with.

This weekend it looks like a massive storm is moving up the East Coast and parts of New York could see anywhere between 8-16 inches of snow between Saturday and Sunday.

In Western New York, there could be some heavy snow in the Southern Tier and possibly another half-foot of snow coming through the area.
