
New York Judge Shockingly Pushes Back Against President Trump
There's a saying that continues to pop up over and over again: There is always a New York connection. Whether it's a native New Yorker who has become the 47th President of the United States or a native New Yorker who has become the Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, there's almost always a way that the Empire State is impacting the nation.
That collided quite a bit just over a week ago when President Donald Trump, a Queens, New York native, took to his social media to advocate for the impeachment of a federal judge who made a decision that Trump strongly disagreed with. In the post, the President declared that crooked judges should be removed from office. Given recent history, it would seem that anyone who doesn't do exactly what the President thinks should happen falls under the category of crooked.
That, however, seemed to be the straw that broke the camel's back for the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, John Roberts. As a Buffalo, New York native, Roberts strongly believes in the rule of law and the separate and co-equal branches of government.
In a statement that was released by Chief Justice Roberts, the head of the US Supreme Court took an extremely rare step in issuing a public admonishment against a sitting President.
For more than two centuries, it has been established that impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision.

This, however, isn't the first time the native Buffalonian has pushed back against President Trump.
Roberts did something similar in 2018 when the then-45th President Trump was disrespecting a judge who disagreed with his immigration policies. At that time, the Chief Justice reminded the President that all judges dedicate their lives to doing what's right
We do not have Obama judges or Trump judges, Bush judges or Clinton judges. What we have is an extraordinary group of dedicated judges doing their level best to do equal right to those appearing before them...

We'll need to continue to see how this battle of New York continues to play out.
