If Jordan Poyer Does This, $1 Million Will Be Donated to His Foundation
The Buffalo Bills are one of the more motivated teams in the NFL.
Every team is motivated to win, but with just how high expectations were for the Bills heading into the 2022 regular season and the fact the last two playoff runs ended in heartbreak, both in Kansas City, it's safe to say the Bills are not going to ever be accused of not giving 100 percent.
Safety Jordan Poyer is in the final year of his contract and is seeking a new, long-term extension with Buffalo to end his career here, and get paid his fair-market value.
It's undecided whether or not the Bills will be able to afford Poyer and lock him up after 2022, but one thing is for sure, he's playing at an incredibly high level right now.
Poyer leads the NFL with four interceptions and he missed week 3 against the Miami Dolphins, so his play has been ridiculously good so far. He's currently on pace for 17 interceptions, which is unlikely but he now had added motivation to reach 13 picks in 2022.
Poyer was a guest on the Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday, which is one of the most popular and successful sports shows in the country, hosted by former NFL punter Pat McAfee.
McAfee told Poyer that if he gets 13 interceptions this season, he and his team will donate $1 million to his foundation.
Poyer was blown away by the statement and was grateful for the chance.
The Jordan Poyer Foundation was started to help support those who struggle with mental health and substance abuse of any kind.
Poyer getting 13 interceptions is now one of the things we're all hoping for.
