
Man Dead After Being Shot in the Head in Riverside
A heavy police presence is in Riverside after a man was shot dead last night. Riverside is a City of Buffalo neighborhood located in the Northwestern area of the city. Multiple reports say the man was shot in the head. They also claim that a person of interest is in custody. A weapon was recovered as well.
The incident happened somewhere between 9 and 10 pm last night (Tuesday, October 14). When officers arrived on the scene, they found a male victim shot in the head. The incident happened on Isabelle Street, which is near the Black Rock Railyard in Buffalo. The man was declared dead at the scene by officials. This is an ongoing investigation, and all parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
The alleged homicide comes just over a month after the Buffalo Police Department announced a whopping 45% reduction in homicides year over year. There were zero homicides in the month of August. Buffalo currently has record-low crime rates.
