The Buffalo Bills kept 80% of their 2024 draft class on the 53-man roster as Keon Coleman, Ray Davis, Cole Bishop, DeWayne Carter, Javon Solomon, Joe Andreessen, Sedrick Van Pran-Granger, Eddie Ulofoshio, and Tylan Grable all “made the cut.”

Throughout the season I will be keeping track of what these rookies do when given opportunities and writing about it in a weekly “rookie radar” article.

In Week One, not only did Keon Coleman and Ray Davis get in on the action, DeWayne Carter and Tylan Grable saw a few snaps as well.

Coleman was in the game for 45 snaps and was 4-of-5 with 51 yards. His longest reception was a 28-yard contested catch down the sideline to put the Bills at Arizona’s six-yard line, which set up Josh Allen for his hurdling touchdown.

The rookie receiver also caught a pass for 12-yards with 38 seconds before the half to place the ball at Arizona’s 14. Two plays later, Allen ran in for a touchdown to trail by seven at halftime.

He also had a four-yard catch and a seven-yard catch in the third quarter. The seven-yard catch was three plays before Khalil Shakir rolled over a defender to get into the end zone and grab a lead.

Davis was in the game for just 10% of the offensive snap counts but had a 14-yard reception and 13 yards on three carries. His reception came on 2nd & 12, which made it a first down at Arizona’s 24 yard line. Davis had a 13-yard rush on the next play, and then two plays later Mack Hollins got in the end zone for the first touchdown of the Bills 2024 season.

He saw five snaps on special teams.

DeWayne Carter took seven snaps on defense and four snaps on special teams, while Tylan Grable had six snaps on special teams.

However, the Bills special teams unit was the first one to allow a kickoff return touchdown under the new kickoff rules.
