After the alerts hit our phone, those of us in the Southtowns took cover if we could. I was at home with our infant daughter and 4-year-old son at the time. I normally don't panic, or get scared with storms. However, I watched the low clouds start to spin, and the winds pick up very quickly. I took the baby and our son to the basement to wait out whatever was going to happen next.
The tornado that ripped over Eden was just a few miles south of us. Thankfully, there was no injuries reported to the residents in that area.
