Trent Robertson To Join The Bandits
Trent Robertson and the Bandits agreed to a one-year deal, pending league approval, the team announced Monday evening.
Robertson, a Clarington, Ontario native, was drafted 19th overall in the 2024 NLL Entry Draft.
The 6-foot-4 defenseman managed eight assists in 22 games with the Brampton Excelsiors in the Ontario Jr. Lacrosse League last season.
He’s had 10 career points in 54 games with the Excelsiors. He had one goal in the 2021-22 season, an assist in the 2022-23 season, and the remaining points were the eight assists from the 2023-24 season.
His first assist of last season came in early June against the Peterborough Lakers. Two games later, he managed another assist against the Six Nations Arrows.
Three games later, he had another assist and then tallied two assists in the next game against the Oakville Buzz. This was the only time Robertson had at least one assist in consecutive games last season.
In the last game of June, against Kitchener-Waterloo, the 20-year-old notched another pair of assists. Two assists in one game would be his season-high for the 2024 season.
Robertson recorded another assist against the Six Nations in early July and then did not tally any points in the remaining five games.
The Excelsiors finished the summer 9-13.
