Troopers Issue ALERT For Drivers In Western New York
There are few things more exciting than summer in Western New York! However, when you travel this summer around Buffalo or any of the 8 counties in Western New York, keep in mind the rules of the road.
Not only is summer a busy travel season on the roads and in the skies, but more people are walking and biking than ever and the need to pay attention is greater at this time of the year.
Our focus and attention is pulled in so many different directions these days. However, when you are in a car, it is imperative that you follow the rules of the road for your safety and for the safety of those around you.

Among the things to remember when you drive is that you have to wear a seat belt. In fact, the New York State Troopers have stepped up their efforts to watch for people driving without wearing one.
According to reports, Troopers say there were over 112,000 tickets issued between May 20th and June 2nd and more than 15,000 of them were for improper seat belt use and child restraint violations.
The other issue is people driving fast, way too fast. In fact, recently, the New York State Police posted a story on "X" about a person recorded going 101 miles per hour in a 65 mile an hour zone!
