Buffalo Bills Player Taken to Hospital
The 24-year-old is recovering and “in good spirits”
Buffalo Bills’ OL Alec Anderson left Tuesday’s practice at St. John Fisher University in an ambulance due to heat-related issues.
He was taken to a nearby hospital after being looked at in the medical tent at training camp.
Temperatures were in the 80s during the two-hour-long practice.
Although the situation can be worrisome, Dion Dawkins was confident the 24-year-old would be alright.
“The crazy thing is that it’s not as nerve-wracking as you would think because our staff that we have here is top tier,” Dawkins said. “If they weren’t top tier then I would be a nervous wreck. But because we have gone through some traumatic, traumatic incidents with this team and things that have happened, I’m confident.”
The Bills’ public release team put out a statement on X, formerly known as Twitter, updating fans that Anderson was on the phone with Brandon Beane, Sean McDermott and the medical staff and seemed “to be in good spirits.”
He is expected to be released from the hospital later today.
