Something that we've been looking forward to for a while is well underway, and so far, it seems that thousands agree: early voting for the New York primary is having an impact all over the state, as communities from New York City to Niagara Falls are seeking new leadership.
Towns, villages, and cities all over the Empire State are set to vote for all sorts of positions in local elections that will have a big impact on the direction of the state.
With cities like Buffalo and New York City on the verge of a major shift in direction in how they are run, and with new leadership on the way, communities are seeing a lot of energy in an election that is typically pretty sleepy.
Buffalo Early Voting Doing Numbers For Mayor Primary
With the first couple of days of early voting in New York past us, we've seen quite a few votes cast in Buffalo and Western New York.
According to the Buffalo News, which spoke with officials from the Erie County Board of Elections, more than 2,000 votes were cast on Saturday and Sunday in the primary.

People have been casting their ballots in primaries held for the Democrats, Republicans, Conservatives, and the Working Families parties.
Early voting continues until Sunday, June 22, 2025, and folks around Western New York have several locations where an early vote can be cast. Please take the time to go vote in the primary; the direction of communities depends on it.
