1 –Today we will have another day of above-average temperatures across Western New York. It will be sunny but breezy and our high could reach 71 degrees. Tomorrow will be more of the same before a cold front is set to bring some rain and much cooler temps on Wednesday and into the weekend. We could see a 20-degree drop in our high temp on Thursday and Friday.

2 – It was a rough start to the game, but the Buffalo Bills scored 34 unanswered points to beat Tennessee 34-10. The newest Buffalo Bill Amari Cooper had four catches for 66 yards and one touchdown. After the game, he said he was impressed by the passion of Bills Mafia. The Bills are back on the road to take on Seattle next Sunday. Kickoff is set for 4:05 pm.

3 – Tonight could be a big night for lottery players here in New York. The jackpot for the Powerball is up to $456 million dollars which would be the second-largest lottery jackpot ever won by a New York resident. The current record is $476 million dollars which was set last April with the Mega Millions. Tonight’s Powerball drawing is set to take place at 10:59 pm.

4 – Much of western New York has reached peak leaf-peeping levels and if you are looking to see the amazing colors there are no shortage of places to go in the 716. Some of the best leaf-peeping locations include Holiday Valley, Letchworth State Park, and Devil’s Hole in Niagara Falls. 5- It was a winning weekend here in Western New York. The Buffalo Sabres beat Chicago 4-2 on Saturday and the Bills beat Tennessee on Sunday. While the Sabres will take the win, they currently are struggling on the Powerplay. In fact, the Sabres are 0-21 on the powerplay so far this season. The current NHL record for most powerplay chances without scoring is 36 which was set by the New York Rangers during the 2013-14 playoffs. They went 10 games without scoring on the Powerplay. Let’s hope Buffalo doesn’t set a new record this season.

6- The price of gas continues to drop here in Western New York. The current average for a gallon of unleaded regular gas is $3.39. That is down two cents from last week and nearly 10 cents from last month. Prices are expected to slowly drop as we wrap up the month of October. According to Gas Buddy.com, the cheapest gas in Western New York can be found on the Native American Reservations with most places offering gas for under $3 dollars per gallon.
