And... the record was set in Elma.

Erie County’s 58th private residence to sell for more than $1 million has been recorded on Sept. 18 in the Erie County Clerk’s office.

The four-bedroom, French country estate-styled house at 9 Timberlane Drive in Elma sold for $1.6 million, with 9 Timberlane LLC buying the home and 5.1 acres where it sits from Salvatore and Gloria Ferreri.

Built in 1997, the 6,792-square-foot opulent house is loaded with new amenities and finishes.

The deal tops the 57 homes and private residences that went for more than $1 million and were recorded last year in the Erie County Clerk’s office.

Sales of homes going for north of $1 million are considered a key economic benchmark within the region's residential real estate industry.

The deal is the first home in Elma this year to sell for more than $1 million.
