70th Homes Sell for Over 1 Million Dollars in Erie County
The flurry of residential real estate deals where homes are selling for north of $1 million continues on its record pace in Erie County.
Two private residences, one in Amherst and the other in a still-growing Orchard Park subdivision, have become the county’s 69th and 70th home this year to sell for more than $1 million.
In the two latest deals:
- Susan Colton paid $1.125,000 for a four-bedroom house at 101 The Common in Amherst, according to documents filed in the Erie County Clerk's office.
The nearly 5,000-square-foot house, built in 1982, sits on two acres of land, and amenities include an outdoor pool.
The house sold in 13 days.
Jane Darling was the previous owner, according to county records. - Carl & Caitlin Embury paid $1,025,130 for a newly built home at 10 Grove Road, Orchard Park.
The house is part of the Oak Orchard subdivision, with Oak Orchard Development LLC selling the house to the Emburys.
The sale of $1 million homes is considered a key economic benchmark for the region’s economic development landscape.
