Former Buffalo Sabres Players Home Finally Sells
Former Buffalo Sabres captain Kyle Okposo has sold his Clarence house nearly nine months after he was traded to the Florida Panthers.
According to documents filed in the Erie County Clerk's Office, Okposo and his wife, Danielle, sold their six-bedroom house on Shale Bluff Court in Clarence’s tony Spaulding Lake subdivision for $1.55 million—the exact listing price of the home. The house was bought by George and Kelly Corbi, according to county clerk’s documents.
The Opposes' bought the 4,587-square-foot house in 2016, shortly after signing with the Sabres as a free agent. The Opposes said $1,040,000 for the house, according to county clerk’s records.
After helping the Panthers win the Stanley Cup this past June, Okposo retired from the National Hockey League. Their Clarence House went on the market this past August.
Their deal was the 77th private residence to sell for more than $1 million this year in Erie County. The sale of homes going for north of $1 million is considered a key economic benchmark within the region's residential real estate industry.
