A long-abandoned and deteriorating former bowling alley on the edge of the former Buffalo Central Park is on the verge of getting some new life when Regan Development Corp. of Ardsley completes a $26 million redevelopment of the sprawling complex.
The soon-to-be new Amherst Commons Apartments will feature more than 130 new income-affordable apartments on the more than 3-acre site. Once the work starts, it'll take around 2 years to complete.
