For many people all over Western New York, this year is the year that people are going to try to make improvements in their standard of living. Whether it's improving the quality of your housing, the status of your credit rating, or finding ways to increase your income, the time is now to act.

However, it may be difficult to do in the current environment. Over the last several years, we've had to deal with increasing inflation, along with Buffalo having the hottest housing market three years in a row, coupled with a lot of economic instability due to tariffs and other governmental factors, people may feel quite uneasy about the future.

To help combat that, a team of non-profits, community groups, and financial institutions has joined forces to host a summit to help teach people the skills they need to know to feel financially empowered.

The all-day summit will feature breakfast and lunch, along with a series of talks and workshops to help people gain the knowledge they need to live a fuller financial life.

I only really started paying attention to my own financial health in my late twenties... The opportunity to learn about credit, homeownership, generational wealth building, stocks, and budgeting is something I wish I had at the ages of the young men we are working with through Breaking Barriers.
-Daniel Robertson, Director of Breaking Barriers Buffalo

The entire summit is free of charge and available to anyone in Western New York. For more information and to register, people can visit the Say Yes Buffalo website.
