In what was a busy final week in October for the sale of homes with prices that went north of $1 million—four such private residences all sold on Oct. 31.
That meant for the week beginning October. 28. Six homes with sale prices all beyond the $1 million threshold were reported and recorded in the Erie County Clerk’s office.

For the year, 68 homes in Erie County have been sold for more than $1 million—11 more than the record of 57 recorded last year in the county clerk’s office.
In the latest flurry of sales:

  • A five-bedroom, 7,660-square-foot house at 670 Knabb Road in Orchard Park sold for $1,181,695 with Duetsche Bank Trust Co. of Americas buying from 670 Knabb LLC by a court-appointed referee, Stephen Soos.
    The bank is currently marketing the house that sits on a 5.8-acre lot and was built in 2006.
  • Michael Stewart paid $1.2 million for a four-bedroom, circa 1976-era house at 200 Deer Run in Amherst.
    The house had been owned by Andrew and Michelle Terpstra.
  • Well-known Realtor Barbara Baker bought a new patio home in Marrano/Marc Equity Corp.’s Greythorne Community in Amherst.
    Baker paid $1,094,891 for the house at 73 Brockton Ridge.
  • Jeffrey and Sarah Spencer bought a four-bedroom house at 11 Highbrook Court in Orchard Park, buying it from Reaching for Excellence Living Trust.
    The Spencers paid $1,216,000 for the house.
    The sale of homes that exceed $1 million is considered a key economic benchmark for the Buffalo Niagara region’s residential real estate landscape.
